Easter Resurrection Biscuits

Resurrection Biscuits Recipe:
1 tube Cressent Rolls
1 stick melted butter cinnamon and sugar mixture (about a cup)
regular size marshmallows (as many as biscuits you have)
Roll out each cressent roll
Stick a marshmallow on each cressent (marshmallows represent Jesus).
Completely seal each marshmallow in each cressent (as the tomb was sealed).
Brush cressent balls in butter then in sugar mixture (represents the dirt in the tomb or the embalming spices needed to bury the dead).
Bake according to the directions on the cressent tube.
When you pull them out of the oven (have an adult do this) the marshmallow is gone! HE IS NOT HERE! THE TOMB IS EMPTY! HE IS ALIVE!

Ice Cream Ice Cream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!
Take 2
A few weeks back Chloe did her science project of making ice cream in a bag in minutes. Her experiment went well at home, but in class it never set up like ice cream. We decided to give it a second shot today and try again. We wondered for a day why it would have went wrong and after thinking about it we realized this: When attempting the experiment at school we had the big bag with ice and salt in it break and had to get a new bag and transferred as much as the old ice with the salt into the new bag. Her new bag then was missing enough salt to make the ice cold enough to set up the ice cream. Through this experiment we realized that one single variable can make all the difference in the world when it comes to science and doing experiments. Needless to say the Chloe and the class were thrilled with their yummy ice cream treat this afternoon.

Thank You PTF: Lego Set

The 1st-4th grade would like to thank PTF for giving Ms. Cox and I some funds to buy some very much loved legos and Lego people for our classrooms. I would also like to thank the church secretary Shelia for donating a box of Legos she had. I also want to thank Ms. Cox for doing the bargain shopping all around for all of them. Our kids love them and were so excited to receive them. We are still open to any donations of Legos as it seems their are never enough to go around when it comes to building.

With Thanks,

1st-4th Grade

Assembly: Cornerstone Church
Cross FX Youth Group

On Monday we had an awesome assembly out on by Brighton's Cornerstone Church's youth group: Cross FX. They put on such a spiritually uplifting black light performance. They had some dramatic songs, puppets, and tons of theatrical props and lighting to make their show such an all out experience. Many former students from BCA were a part of this performance. It felt so nice to finish out our day with such an uplifting message of salvation.
